I can’t believe the time has come – today, we’re looking at Tip #12!!
I hope you’ve found this series useful whether you’ve read them yourself, or forwarded on to your team! So, without further ado – let’s look at Tip #12 💡
This week, I’m sharing some of my top tips for posting on LinkedIn (to get the full list, subscribe to my mailing list 😉)
Below are just a few of the lessons that I’ve personally learned from posting consistently for over 3 years:
👉If you have something to say that you feel passionate about, just post it, because what you have to share will resonate with your audience and will kick-start their involvement in your posts.
👉If you are not sure about a post, if it makes you feel uncomfortable, or if you are worried about what the reaction might be – maybe today isn’t the day to say it.
👉Share information that you know your target audience will be interested in.
👉You won’t be for everyone and this is good. You will attract people who will be your ideal clients and candidates, those who have already bought into you and your ideas.
👉It can feel like you are shouting into an empty room, especially when your post gets two likes and one of those is your mum. But the right people will be quietly watching and reading – and they will become a part of your network over time.
👉Keep connecting with relevant people in your sector, and search for posts under key topic names, and organisation names. Try and connect with others outside your sector that you admire so you get to hear different viewpoints.
That’s it for week twelve and therefore the end of The Top Tips series! I will do another twelve-tip series later this year so now – I would like to hear from you. What would you find interesting to read about? What topics are not covered much on LinkedIn when it comes to development but you’re really curious to know more about?
