SMART is a simple way to get to grips with your objectives and think clearly about what SUCCESS looks like.
You may know SMART but are you using it in the right way?
SMART stands for –
S pecific – This is the what, what are you focussing on – is it billings, is it new clients broken into, is it new contacts? If it’s billings – what is the number you are trying to reach?
M easurable – how will you know that you have been successful?
You need to be able to measure your success. What does success look like in this context? Be as focused and detailed as possible.
A chievable – this might seem obvious BUT don’t set yourself goals that are unachievable. They’ve got to be difficult enough to create motivation but not too difficult that you will never get there.

T imebased – how long will it take you to achieve these goals? This also need to be realistic
